DJI, the prominent name in the drone industry, has revealed the details of a new firmware update for their model, Avata 2. These updates, offering vital improvements and additions, involve D-Log color restoration to One-Tap VFX mode and support for 4K/100fps.

Detailed Firmware Versions: An Overview

In this latest update exercise, several DJI devices have received firmware upgrades. The Avata 2 Firmware now stands at V01.00.0300. The DJI Goggles 3 Firmware has been enhanced to V01.00.0200, and the DJI RC Motion 3 Firmware is now at V01.00.0100. Further, the DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 Firmware has been updated to V01.00.0100.

Moreover, the DJI Goggles 2 Firmware has been upgraded to V01.10.0000, while the DJI Goggles Integra Firmware now stands at V01.06.0000. Users of DJI RC Motion 2 will find their firmware updated to V01.08.0000, and the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 Firmware now reveals version V02.00.1000.

In addition to hardware, DJI has also updated the DJI Fly App to V1.13.4 for both iOS and Android in their drive to provide a seamless user experience.

What’s New in the Update

The most significant of these updates is the adoption of support for DJI Goggles Integra and DJI Goggles 2. In conjunction with these new support additions, the update also includes compatibility for DJI RC Motion 2 and DJI FPV Remote Controller 2, when applied with DJI Goggles Integra and DJI Goggles 2.

Moreover, this upgrade introduces a recording support option for 4K/100 videos, broadening the possibilities for high-quality video capturing. In selected regions, RID support has also been added. Finally, several known issues previously affecting performance have been addressed and corrected in this comprehensive update.

Post-Update Guidelines

After finalizing the firmware updates, users should ensure a restart of the aircraft, remote control device, and goggles to facilitate smooth operation. It is important to note that the updated firmware may reset certain flight and operational parameters such as RTH Altitude and Maximum Flight Distance. Hence, users are advised to record their preferred settings prior to the update and re-adjust them afterward. If the update is not complete successfully, it is suggested to restart the device, goggles, and DJI Fly app or DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drone Series), and reattempt the update.
