DJI has expanded its innovative efforts beyond its traditional drone technology, launching two portable power stations, the Power 1000 & Power 500. These stations are engineered to energize everyday household items as well as provide rapid charging capabilities for DJI drone batteries. Leveraging over a decade of research and development in battery technology, both units achieve a full charge in just 70 minutes, thus serving the dual purpose of powering household appliances and fast charging DJI drone batteries.

The Power 1000, with a battery capacity of 1024 Wh and a weight of 13 kg, along with the more compact Power 500, possessing a 512 Wh capacity and weighing 7.3 kg, deliver maximum power outputs of 2200 W and 1000 W respectively. For those pressed for time, both units can reach an 80% charge within only 50 minutes.

These power stations can recharge various devices multiple times, providing a reliable power source for a range of uses. Additionally, DJI introduces an option for drone users to quickly charge their drone batteries using the DJI Power SDC super-fast charge function. This allows drones to be nearly fully charged, from 10% to 95%, in about 30 minutes. This capability, combined with just three drone batteries and a DJI portable power station, enables users to spend a full day flying and capturing content without worrying about power limitations.

DJI also accommodates different charging methods to suit various situations, although these may require additional accessories. Furthermore, when a device is connected to the DJI Power 1000/500 through the AC output port and both are being powered, the system automatically transitions into UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) mode in the event of a power outage. This ensures that the connected device(s) continue receiving power within a remarkable 0.02 seconds of the outage, effectively preventing any disruptions. The recharging process of the Power 1000 is also notably quiet, with noise levels advertised to be less than those of most household refrigerators at 23 dB.

Pricewise, the Power 1000 is set at $999, and the Power 500 at $499. Both are now available with an introductory discount of 30%, making them an appealing option for those looking to combine the convenience of portable power with the reliability and innovation of DJI’s technology.
