Power and Battery Options
The monitor is powered by a pair of hot-swappable Sony BP-F L Series rechargeable batteries. It also supports V-mount batteries and a 720V DC power supply. Additionally, a built-in, removable, and rotatable Sony NP-F power output dummy battery provides power passthrough of 8V/10W, allowing a wireless video receiver to be powered directly from the monitor.

Mounting and Portability
The HS8 features multiple 1/4-20 attachment points, making it easy to mount on a camera tripod or handheld cage.
