Sony E-Mount mirrorless camera users can anticipate the promising benefits of the freshly introduced, Tamron 50-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD. Complementing its existing lineup of zoom lenses, including the 17-50mm F/4 and the 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VC VXD G2, Tamron expands its product range with this lightweight and compact 6x telephoto zoom lens.

The newcomer’s unique features include a rapid and silent VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) focus motor, inbuilt VC image stabilization, and the facility for close shots, offering a minimum focus distance of 22cm/8.7in at 50mm.

Lens Highlights

The designated A069, 50-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD has a convenient retractable design measuring 150mm/5.9in and a weight of only 665g/23.5oz. Implemented to prevent unintended extension while zoomed in, the zoom lock feature on the lens barrel provides additional convenience for users.

Compatible exclusively with Sony E-Mount mirrorless cameras, the lens fully covers full-frame image sensors. It carries the reputable VXD linear focus motor, endorsing swift and precise autofocus performances. Furthermore, it supports Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF autofocus modes.

Users will appreciate the personalized Focus Set Button and a USB Type-C port on the lens barrel, which provides easy updates and customization through Tamron’s Lens Utility software.
