Zhiyun has recently unveiled its latest product, the Zhiyun Weebill 3E gimbal, with an emphasis on a more compact and lightweight design, all while retaining the capability of accommodating full-frame mirrorless cameras coupled with sizable lenses.

Despite tipping the scale at roughly 1kg, this device exudes extreme compactness, promising minimal occupancy in your gear bag. It benefits from the company’s most recent stabilization algorithms, and it also extends support for vertical shooting.

Compact Power: Zhiyun Weebill 3E in Focus

Market-targeted as a cost-effective, streamlined version of the Weebill 3 retailing at $299, the Zhiyun Weebill 3E is ideally suited to those who aspire for higher mobility without requiring the plethora of features presented by pricier, bulkier gimbals.

Weighing just under 1kg (990g to be exact), the Zhiyun Weebill 3E can handle a payload of up to 3kg. As such, it’s compatible with almost any mirrorless camera and lens combination, guaranteeing reliable performance. Although it won’t stretch to a fully loaded cage rig, its strength lies in catering to the mobile photographer. It can readily support a camera, lens, and potentially an on-camera shotgun or wireless mic receiver, comfortably staying within the 3kg limit.

Exceptional Battery Life and Usability

Zhiyun boasts the Weebill 3E’s battery life of up to 16 hours on a full charge. Recharging is also swift, taking only 2 hours with Quick Charge (QC), or 2 hours and 46 minutes via USB Power Delivery (USB-PD).

The gimbal offers swift transitions between traditional horizontal shooting for YouTube vlogs and vertical shooting for Shorts, Stories, and Reels. It also delivers Bluetooth camera control with compatible cameras, providing users the ability to regulate the camera directly from the gimbal’s handle.

Price and Availability

The Zhiyun Weebill 3E is priced at $249 and is currently available for purchase, with shipping already underway. Despite a recent focus on lighting solutions, it’s refreshing to see Zhiyun keeping pace with gimbal improvements. The Zhiyun Weebill 2 Pro Plus kit still remains a popular choice among users.
