Zhiyun, a leading brand in stabilization and LED lighting technology, steps up its game in the COB lighting segment by unveiling a new B-series range, suited for enthusiasts to professionals, spanning 100-500W power output. Highlighting the range, Zhiyun has launched the Molus G300, a 300W LED COB light tailored for professional photography and videography, retailing at $599 / £599.

Debuting at NAB 2024, the Molus G300 impressed with its compact yet rugged build, enhanced by Zhiyun’s upgraded control system for filmmakers. The light connects to a controller via a 7.5-meter cable, allowing for remote operations. The controller itself is feature-rich, facilitating effortless lighting adjustments. Moreover, despite its 300W rating, the ‘Max Extreme Mode’ allows the Molus G300 to ramp up to 500W, pushing its brightness to 20300 Lux and expanding its versatility.

With power comes the need for effective cooling. Zhiyun delivers with the DynaVort Cooling System MKII, an advanced cooling mechanism that efficiently dissipates heat while maintaining the unit’s compact footprint. The G300’s small dimensions (148 x 259 x 84mm) allows for minimal space usage, beneficial for complex multi-lighting setups on busy sets. Its impressive peak brightness at 15500 Lux, combined with a flexible color temperature range from 2700K to 6500K, ensures that users can achieve lifelike lighting for every scene.

Further enhancing the user experience, the Molus G300 includes various creative features, such as a Bowens mount for accessory compatibility, video lighting effects for dynamic scenes, and wireless control capabilities through the ZY Vega app. The light’s head is designed for both tilting and rotation, giving users complete control over lighting angles. Zhiyun’s commitment to combining form and function is evident in this well-equipped lighting solution that caters to the demands of the modern professional.”
